Subdued light
Autumn then
Amber-coloured light, remember?
And you, unfolding golden sails
Autumn again
When blooming grasses
Populate the carpet
And the sycamore’s long arms
Twist to shake the leafy canopy
By next month the midday scorch
Will be forgotten
The glitter sunlight
Will bend
Nature will change
I’ll have to clothe bareness
Fold away the sensual
See-through laces of summer
Already I’ve brushed off
Tree bark and moss I gathered
Kept braided in my hair
Forever and forever
Swan song
Forever and forever we smile
Each autumn over
I am there and your face
